The “Privacy Policy” explains what we do with the personal data we receive on the SbooST Platform from SBooST members and how they can exercise their rights to that data.
Who We are and How to Contact us?
The SbooST Platform offers a social network and a range of services for young people, including:
- E-learning for students seeking educational improvement;
- Training offers and internships for students wishing to integrate into the marketplace;
- Job offers for graduates and non-graduates;
- Public and private groups as well as forums where information and opinions can be exchanged.
Due to its functionality, the SbooST Platform controls your data, which means that we are responsible for determining how your personal information is collected, stored and used. We may occasionally engage third parties to process your information, as well as ourselves (as further outlined below).
How and Why We Collect Data about You?
As a result of your registration with the SbooST Platform and use of our Services, we will collect the following information about you (“Personal Data”):
- Your name;
- Your e-mail;
- Your birthday;
- Data about your academic and professional path;
- Records of your visits to the SbooST Platform and interaction with content offered by the platform. This includes pages, videos, ratings, posts, comments and any other interactions you have within groups or in forums;
- Details of the scores you got in the quizzes you take on the SbooST Platform
- Group records default on the SbooST Platform
The Legal Basis for Processing your Personal Data
When using your personal data, we process it according to the following principles:
- perform a contract to which you as the Data Subject are a Party (including concerning maintaining records detailing your learning progress and performance to keep course progress and certifications, and records detailing your activity within the Platform);
- The following activities are conducted in the legitimate interest of the Sboost Platform:
- Internal research purposes: for example, improving the design and operation of courses, improving the way groups work, as well as improving the way information is presented…
- Internal research purposes regarding how the Sboost Platform is used, to send you updates regarding online courses, job and training/internship offers.
- Improving the user experience of the Sboost Platform;
- We shall never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and shall not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this Policy.
Every effort is made to ensure that the personal data we hold about you is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Additionally, you can help us by notifying us immediately if your personal data changes.
We shall not be held liable for any losses suffered as a result of any inaccurate, incorrect, or incomplete personal information provided to us.
Who We Share your Personal Data with?
From time to time, we may share your personal data with the following parties for the purpose of improving the content of the platform:
- Internal Management Team;
- Internal Leadership Team;
- Third Parties with whom we share for the purpose of creating, operating or evaluating the course (including instructors, instructor assistants and staff of institutions participating with the SbooST Platform for the purpose of a course where you are enrolled).
- Third parties with whom we share job and training/internship offers (including operators, companies)
- Third parties receiving personal data from the SbooST Platform sign a data-processing convention with the SbooST Platform that provides for the use of your personal data only for purposes contracted by the SbooST Platform, in accordance with Act No. 09.08 on the protection of self-employed persons against the processing of data of a personal nature.
We can also from time to time share your personal data (in anonymous form) with external educational researchers for educational research.
Changes to this policy
Unless required by applicable law, we reserve the right to update this Policy to reflect changes to our information practices by clearly posting a notice of the update on our Services and obtaining your consent, as appropriate. Any updates will become effective immediately upon posting of updates to this Policy and apply to all information collected about you, or where applicable, based on your consent. You agree to review this policy periodically. If we make any changes to this policy, we will change the “last updated” date above.
